I engineer multifunctional neurotechnology to study the mechanisms of anesthesia and psychiatric neuromodulation. To complement technology innovation, I develop machine learning algorithms to make sense of the brain's dynamic response to local and systemic pharmacology. By studying how existing drugs affect consciousness and cognition, I hope to discover new, safer ways to modulate and treat brain function.
